Today, I spoke with Julie – Kajsa’s
transplant nurse/coordinator. We now
have insurance authorization to begin her work-up. So on Friday we will be taking blood to
perform the viral scan. Next week she
will have her EKG and chest X-Ray. Tomorrow I am calling her surgeon, Dr. Fabrega to schedule her pre
transplant consultation.

And so the snowball begins to
roll downhill.

I’m nervous, giddy, nauseous, and goose

  1. I know how you feel! Although Anna was just a small baby, and she didn’t get her work up until she was addmitted in the PICU, but just knowing that your one step closer….I know how you feel! Good luck with everything, and sending Kajsa and you my love.

  2. Sarah:
You sound like I feel. It’s good to hear this from someone else who’s been there. Somehow it makes me feel a little less um, discombobulated.

    You’re so sweet. Thank you.
